BANGALORE:
Yet another wake-up call for the government, this one initiated by R K Misra,
winner of Lead India, a Times of India initiative, with the support of Rajeev
Chandrashekhar, MP, Rajya Sabha, Mohandas Pai, Prasad Bidapa and many others
demanding an assurance that India be made safe.
Misra told TOI:
"We'll walk from B R V Parade Ground to Mahatama Gandhi Statue and welcome all
citizens who want to join us".
He added: "We have lost our voice in
the affairs of city, state and country. No political party is bothered about us
and we get hurt time and again. When we question the water or power problem,
there is no solution. But now it has come to our lives. I think it is time we
take steps to save our lives."
"Even after the IISc attack and this
year's terror attack in Mumbai, governments have not taken any action against
terror. I think Bangalore is a very important city so government should take
action and provide proper security for the public here," said Misra.
