PATNA: The Union tourism ministry has
sanctioned a fund of Rs 3.89 crore for overall development of Vaishali (Kolhua)
in Muzaffarpur district. The fund was sanctioned following the recommendations
of Union rural development minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
The
ministry has sanctioned Rs 70.81 lakh for establishing a tourism centre, Rs
98.94 lakh for an open air theater and Rs 31.40 lakh for a Yoga centre cum
library.
A sum of Rs 4.20 lakh has been earmarked for the
construction of front boundary wall, while Rs 19.58 lakh will be used for the
boundaries. Sources said Rs 15 lakh has been sanctioned for main entrance and Rs
14.16 lakh will be used for internal roads.
The ministry has also
sanctioned Rs 8.02 lakh for gardening, Rs 10 lakh for electricity control panel,
Rs 2 lakh for LT panel and switch gear and Rs 8 lakh for connection. Funds have
been sanctioned for control panel cable, sign board, three welcome gates and
parking space.
