DARBHANGA: In a bizarre incident, a teenager killed his father in Bihar's Darbhanga district for not providing adequate pocket money to him, police said.

The teenager identified as Mohammad Qauam killed his father Mohammad Ashim by first stabbing him and then hitting him with a lathi on Wednesday, station house officer of Keoti police station Amrendra Thakur said.

The SHO said the son told interrogators that he took the extreme step as his father refused to pay the pocket money as demanded by him and used to misbehave with him and his mother.

The SHO said family feud could have led to the killing.
