Cheryl
Cole has topped a new poll of ‘Positive Role Models for British
Women’.
The ‘X
Factor’ judge beat off competition from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling,
who took second place in the Mecca Bingo survey.
Queen Elizabeth finished third
in the top ten list of positive role models for women. Last year, the same poll
named Cheryl as the ‘Worst Examples Set to British Women’.
This year that dubious title
goes to troubled singer Amy Winehouse. "It's interesting to see how much public
opinion of Cheryl has changed,”
The
Mirror
quoted Lesly Hughes of Mecca Bingo,
as saying.
