Is MSD right in opting out of the Test series? 8 Jul, 2008 l 1241 hrs IST Mahendra Singh Dhoni's decision to skip the Sri Lanka series has taken aback many but is it really so surprising? Are players fatigued only when it comes to representing the country? During recent IPL tournament no one complaint (despite the tight schedule), and if another IPL is announced next week, the players will gladly show up.
Who is to be blamed? The BCCI or the players, who continue to spend considerable period for shooting ads rather than using the time to relax.
So, who cares if India gets routed in the Test series in Sri Lanka? The players will take the cover of fatigue factor, while the BCCI will talk about Future Tours Programme (FTP).

So in my opinion it goes same for the sportsmen, they are professionals as well and if they cant handle the stress, well what can I say.. !!!
