can't get more scary than Carrie, can it? Speaking of prom nights and all the
films that feature it Carrie remains the most memorable film, with the
tele-kinetic teenager's nightmare still creating a chill amongst film buffs.
This film too seems to be a
re-make of John Carpenter's 1980s
Halloween
,
but the chill factor has been completely diluted, although there's the usual
body count, as Britanny Snow's
prom
night
gets tainted with blood and
gore.
High School senior, Donna
Keppel (Brittany) has been trying to rebuild her life after a psychotic teacher
killed her entire family, simply because he wanted her for just for himself. But
her tragic past begins to haunt her prom night, with the killer having escaped
from the maximum security asylum and choosing to hunt her down
again.
It's a lack lustre film
that evokes a sense of deja vu, specially in an age when slasher films are so
outdated.
